400 GPD Reverse Osmosis System
Freestanding light commercial RO system with pressure gauge, 48v pump, pre-filters, and a reverse osmosis membrane
This 400 GPD reverse osmosis system is the perfect light-duty commercial RO system. It features a corrosion-resistant frame mount that can be either mounted on the wall or used as a free-standing reverse osmosis system. Delivering an impressive 300 gallons of water per day, it is extremely dependable and a great choice for light-use food service and commercial applications such as coffee shops, restaurants, school and hospital cafeterias, catering operations, salons, labs, and offices. The RO300GPD has superior performance rates for removing chlorine, hardness, heavy metals, toxins, and many other water impurities. A built-in 48V pump increases the production of purified water by raising the water pressure to the optimal level for the reverse osmosis process.
The RO 400 GPD is not recommended as a whole house system. This is because the 48V pump is not intended for constant use and the usage requirements needed for whole-house residential water treatment.
What Does GPD Stand For?
GPD means Gallons Per Day. We have the British gallon and the USA gallon.
The gallon is a unit of measurement for volume and fluid capacity in both the US customary units and the British imperial systems of measurement. Three significantly different sizes are in current use:
the imperial gallon, defined as 4.54609 litres, which is used in the United Kingdom, Canada, and some Caribbean nations;
the US gallon defined as 231 cubic inches (exactly 3.785411784 litres), which is used in the US and some Latin American and Caribbean countries; and
the US dry gallon, defined as 1⁄8 US bushel (exactly 4.40488377086 litres).
We use the USA gallon which is exactly 3.785411784 litres. When it comes to Reverse Osmosis Machines, It is generally accepted that machines are named according to the output of the RO membrane.
For example, Our 400GPD domestic machine
One day has 24 hours.
400GPD means 400 Gallons x 3.785411784 Litres which should give 1515.16 Litres in 24 hours which means 63.09 litres per hour. In order to get the correct flow, you will need to need to feed the machine with 3-4 bars pressure at 15% recovery (60 lph )
Our 400 GPD Domestic machine has 1 diaphragm pump which is not meant to run long hours. You can run it for a maximum of 1 hour each time. Thereafter the pumps will get too hot, and the pump head or diaphragm will burn out.
Also, the flow rate is around 60 Litres per hour based on Johannesburg water which has an average TDS of 100. The purpose of this machine is to be used where more water is required than the domestic RO system. This unit is Tankless. It can be used in restaurants where you will need to fill up water for customers. But it is not meant to be for continuous use, especially when you need to fill up big tanks.
We have had customers who connect the domestic 400 GPD to a 5000 litre tank and the pumps will burn out before filling up the tank. This is not due to a bad quality machine but the incorrect use. It is very important to know how much water is required for your application for us to offer you the correct size machine.
RO300GPD REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM FEATURES:
Removing chlorine, hardness, heavy metals, toxins, and many other water impurities
Space-saving design
Turn-key, cost-effective, and reliable water purification system
Membrane housing, cartridges, fittings, and tubing are NSF certified. NSF International is a global, independent public health and safety organization.
Pressure gauge for pre-filter monitoring
Quick connect fittings for easy installation, and twist-off water filter housings make changing the water filters very easy
High-quality 10-inch water filters provide extended filter life and high capacity. This RO300GPD reverse osmosis system includes a 5-micron sediment water filter and 0ne 5-micron carbon block, and granular activated carbon water filter that removes chlorine and more.
300 GPD reverse osmosis membrane

Built-in 48V pump increases the production of purified water by raising the water pressure to the optimal level for the reverse osmosis process
Can be floor-standing or wall-mounted
Filter wrench included
STAGES OF THE RO300GPD REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM
This 300 GPD reverse osmosis system delivers healthy, pure water that is free from chlorine, hardness, heavy metals, toxins, and many other water impurities. Here’s how the system works:
Stage 1 – 5-micron sediment filter (PP10) – Replace every 6 months
Stage 2 & 3 – 5-micron coconut shell carbon block water filter (CTO10S) removes sediment, chlorine, offensive taste and odors, rust, and particulates. A carbon block water filter provides more contaminant removal than a granular activated carbon filter (GAC10S) which means better tasting water too. Coconut shell carbon block technology is eco-friendly. Replace every 6 months.
Stage 4 – Thin-film composite membrane (MEM4003012) – Replace every 12 months
Stage 5 – 5-micron carbon block water filter (POS-300) – Replace every 6 months
